Yep, too much time on my hands, still. The long hours for David with days off few and far between are still among us. Some nights I just can't go to bed at 9:00 like he does. While he may be getting up at 4:00 in the morning, I'm sleeping until 8:00 so. I'm not ready for night night when he is. So, when perusing my emails while he was fast asleep the other night, I ran across one from my sis with all these cutely decorated eggs. Hmm, so I got out my sharpie and went to work. Seriously, I have NOTHING better to do. I put them back in the fridge to meet David face to face when he opened it up Friday morning to retrieve his two daily eggs. Whatcha think...the next best thing to getting up and making his breakfast myself? My thoughts, eggs-actly!

Syb,
ReplyDeleteDid he crawl back into bed? That egg on the right was kind of cute.
If not, I bet he cracked both of those eggs into a glass, mixed them quickly with a fork and gulped them down. (The muscle builders in California used to do that you know. Of course they also took Steroids - probably both of those practices are suspect.)
I have a few ideas for your empty hours...
Dress up in completely with multicolored gowns, covering your face with only your eyes peeping out through tiny little holes. Walk down main and see how long it takes your paper to show up in the daily paper.
Take up Oragami... learn how to make animals with 10 x 12 sheets of construction paper. Make them very large, work on them day & nite.
(Secretly pack a bag - your hubby may to buying you a 1st class ticket back to Texas for a little R&R. Smile & accept the extra attention of your family while you are enjoying your return to good Tacos & BBQ.)
Teach both of your daughters how to make a armadillo out of paper.
Egging you on to bigger and better things... Life is to short to be scrambled. Time is too precious to not be sunny side up. Remember to tackle all of your problems with an over easy attitude. Do not let other people get you boiled up.

My favorite part...well, the tacos & bbq, of course! Can't wait. Yeehaw!
ReplyDeleteTexas is waiting for you, my friend. Love the eggs . . . I didn't know you were so artistic. ;-)
