Doha Scenes

While hitting the Doha streets yesterday, Kristi and I, ran across a few sights that I'll share. No, I didn't let missy drive the Jeep outside the compound, but when I emerged from the villa she was in the driver's seat and had already backed out. She's a brave soul to get between me and my baby.

Ok, so this is just a blueberry bagel from Bread and Bagel at The Beach Tower in West Bay, but you know I can't go too long without mentioning food. While I'm not a bagel connoisseur, I thought it was pretty dang good.

We're off to Qatar vs China in the Asian Cup tonight. I'm sure the venue will offer many intriguing sights, so hang tight. Pics will be forthcoming. Looking forward, but not to the traffic. Pray for David, please. Patience, my dear, patience.

Ready, Aim, Fire!

Qatari Adventures original sidekick, Kristi, is in town this week to run the Doha streets with me. Yesterday was day one and she's already earned her keep (1 purse, 1 blouse, and intimate wear~she doesn't come cheap). While meandering around Al Asmakh Mall aka Centerpoint, we made a pit stop in the ladies room. Upon emerging from the stall, she asked if mine had a poster on the inside door. I remembered that there was one, but unobservant me didn't even read it. Well, I would have missed this little jewel of a public (or would that be "puplic"?) announcement if little sleuth, Kristi, hadn't been with me. It's a good thing I already knew how to aim!

At least the duck paid attention to the instructions!

The "P" on Steroids

Ok, so I've been accused by tweeter @VEE6 of being a little overly obsessive with Doha's monstrosity or as I like to call it the "P" building. OCD is an anxiety disorder, accept that I have it and move on, because I can't. Back to the "P" building...it's all lit up for the Asian Cup 2011 happening now in Qatar. It almost disguises it, you think?

Oh Say Can You See...

Toilets at Khalifa Tennis Stadium for the seeing impaired

Pretty boy, Rafael Nadal, bowed out of last night's Qatar ExxonMobil Open to the not quite so handsome Russian, Nikolay Davydenko. Newsflash: I guess tennis isn't a beauty contest, afterall. We're down to the final showdown tonight of Roger Federer vs Davydenko conjuring up a little deja vu from last year's championship game. We'll see if world #2 Federer can snuff out world #22, Davydenko this time around. May the prettiest one win ;)
