Our five year adventure in Doha, Qatarended June 1, 2012, but the memories will always remain. It's back to Texas where I have decided...Qatar isn't cornering the market on "quirky", as I once believed. Thanks for opening my eyes to the world,Doha!

The Chateaus of the Loire Valley
David and I spent our last couple of days in France driving through the Loire Valley to check out some of the beautiful chateaus in the area. It was pretty surreal walking through 15th century castles imagining the lives that their residents led. It's just mind boggling to me to think about how such tasks were undertaken without today's modern machinery and technology.

Oh My Goodness! What an amazing trip. These pictures are unbelievable. Nice work...I see some canvases up on your wall already! We're going to Paris in January. It will be a different kind of pretty...but your trip looks like it was stunning. So glad you could see Kristi and have TEXMEX! What!? We need to talk more details before we go.
It was a great trip and DEFINITELY different than Paris, but Paris is wonderful, too! We had no trouble communicating when we went to Paris last year, but wow, this trip was an eye opener. The Middle East is way easier for Americans than France. Who would have thunk it? Brrr...it will be cold in Paris in January!
