Our five year adventure in Doha, Qatar ended June 1, 2012, but the memories will always remain. It's back to Texas where I have decided...Qatar isn't cornering the market on "quirky", as I once believed. Thanks for opening my eyes to the world, Doha!

Stuttgart Charm

A quick check in before we're off, again, for the evening. I think we are all in agreement that we liked Paris and were absolutely glad that we went, but decided that it was a bigger city than we could handle. We love the charm of smaller cities that have a personal touch, and oddly enough Stuttgart, Germany is giving us that feel. We met Shea last night for MEXICAN food. Oh, so close to Texas, but yet so far. It was actually pretty decent, with flamenco dancers and live music with authentic decor. We could have been sitting in a cafe in downtown San Antonio. This morning, we headed to the Porche Museum that just opened up a few weeks ago and then to Wilhelma Zoo and Gardens this afternoon. We have found thus far that we have brought the sunshine from Doha with us. Beautiful clear skies is just about all we've seen and the same is forecast for Lucerne, Switzerland this weekend while we are there, but the highs will be in the very low 30s. We'll be catching a train out in the morning, with Shea to follow after he gets off work. We're off to meet Shea for dinner. Below are a few pics from yesterday's walk around the square. I'll try and post more pics tonight. Later!
