The GEICO gecko has arrived at the pink villas for an unannounced (and unwelcome) visit and unfortunately he has his family in tow. When I did the post last week about the Dragon Body Care Center, little did I know that I was going to be a prospective customer. I met my not so little friend while making use of our downstairs "powder" room. I was creeped out all afternoon waiting for this creature to jump out and scare me when I least expected it. After a few days I got over him, since he hadn't made any reappearances. Then night before last I came upon one of his children camping out in the kitchen when I was getting a midnight snack. Talk about a food deterrent. Then yesterday I hear a rattling in my kitchen and there was one on my ceiling. Why is David never around when this happens. After tossing all my empty water bottles at it that were waiting for their daily filling next to my cooler, I had to get out the big gun...my squeegee with a six foot handle. Of course I screamed each time he moved as I was chasing him on the ceiling. I mean seriously people he was huge! Finally, out the kitchen door he went. I'm thinking about letting the villa cats in to take care of business.
Hello world!

Somehow I can perfectly see you swatting and screaming, Sybil. Good luck in ridding the villa of any new creatures.
ReplyDeleteAwww! But, they are so cute!
ReplyDeleteBy the way, my cousins in NY say the crown tickets are going fast. I hope you have yours. If not try this site, http://statuecruises.com/ferry-service/welcome.aspx
Yep, I really was....I'm such a sissy when it comes to creepy crawlers. Lucy, I do have our "crown" tickets. I ordered them the first day they went on sale! I hear they are sold out until the end of the summer. I feel special :D
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you got your tickets. I expect to see some fabulous pics!
