You say it's YOUR birthday...
It's MY birthday, too, yeah!
It's MY birthday, too, yeah!
I'm reclaiming my birthday. For too many years, after my first born arrived on MY birthday 26 years ago, it was no longer MY birthday. Just SHEA'S. Well, those days are over, honey. I'm back! Ok, now that I've tooted my horn, I hope your birthday over in Africa is not too pathetic. I'm so sorry that you're not in the land that you love so. Hang in there. Soon, we'll celebrate our birthdays together in TEXAS! Yeehaw!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO BOTH OF YOU!!!!
ReplyDeleteMY HOW A FEW YEARS CHANGES THINGS-
YOU IN QATAR AND SHEA IN AFRICA. HAVE A GREAT DAY. WITH LOVE
Happy birthday, dear friend! What a great mother you have turned out to be. My biggest memory of you and Shea is you as a BRAND new mom being alone with him for the first time while David went hunting (or fishing?). That memory of "is he breathing right?" is still so vivid to me. Love you!
ReplyDeleteHappy, happy birthday, my friend. Celebrate in a BIG way. If I was there in Qatar I'd take you to tea. Well, we'll just have to wait until I can take you to lunch in Austin.
ReplyDeleteThanks, ladies!
ReplyDeleteYeah, Fran...Shea may not know that he owes his LIFE to you. Haha...who would have ever know that "grunting" could mean pneumonia caused from sepsis with an ensuing eight day hospital stay at 6 weeks of age. Geez, I would have just kept winding up his swing. You showed up at my house at that moment in time for a reason. Thank, GOD!
Sounds like a plan Karen! Do they do high tea at Texas Roadhouse?
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Sybil & Shea!! Can't wait to see y'all!!
