We were picking up a friend for an outing the other day when I spotted a cornfield. Yes, in Doha, a nice row of corn growing in her front flower bed in the land of pink villas. I think her ears (the corn ears that is!) are just about ready for the picking as the silks were turning brown. It made me fast forward to one of my favorite parts of our annual summer trip to Tennessee...my father-in-law's garden. It should be ripe and ready for raiding when we get there in July and hopefully loaded down with the usual tomatoes, green beans, cucumbers, and corn. There's nothing like fresh veggies straight from the garden. Looking forward, Bill and of course, thank you, Joann for supporting him in his endeavors!
