Hell has frozen over. My sister picked up my mom yesterday and headed here to Kyle for her first visit ever before I head back to Doha on Monday. You have to realize that my mom thinks driving more than seven minutes in a car is like taking a trip across country. So, the four hour drive to my house must have been torture for her. Well, not really, because she's the type once the decision has been made for her, she can roll with it. I called her and told her that Regina was picking her up and that was the end of that. After 82 years, she now does what we say instead of vice versa. Hang in there kids, just thirty something more years to go!
Breakfast anyone ?

Oh, Sybil, I am so sorry we will not get to see you!! Judging from your emails you have been in a tailspin ever since you arrived in the states; I certainly understand, but was looking forward to visiting with you. I am feeling a great deal better; I am now taking only 25 mgs of Topamax daily (was 100). I do hope I have a standing invitation to visit YOU. I just know I will be able to make that trip before you move back home!!!! I know you and David must be so proud of your children -- and well you should be!! Bon Voyage! Love, Jan
ReplyDeleteHave a safe trip back! Sorry we missed you as well. I thought we might take a trip up to your neck of the woods & get a lunch or dinner in while you were here, but between our busy schedule and your MUCH busier schedule, it just never seemed to work out. Maybe next time! Have a safe trip, girlfriend.
ReplyDeleteCome hell or high water I will see both of you GIROUARD girls in December! No ifs, ands, or buts! Jan...are you throwing a Christmas bash this year, cuz if you are I would LOVE to crash it!!!!
ReplyDeleteP.S. That standing invitation is definitely still open...to you both :D
You are ON, girl. Hey, let me know if Jan's party is at a public place and I'll crash it, too. Then there would be THREE Girouard girls there. :-)
