Our five year adventure in Doha, Qatar ended June 1, 2012, but the memories will always remain. It's back to Texas where I have decided...Qatar isn't cornering the market on "quirky", as I once believed. Thanks for opening my eyes to the world, Doha!

You Made My Day

There's nothing like self promoting your own birthday on your own blog. After years of not getting to celebrate my own day, I do what I gotta do to catch up. Thanks to all who emailed and left Facebook birthday greetings yesterday. I felt like a kid opening up a ton of gifts every time I walked by my computer and saw another message posted. It was one of those Clint Eastwood's "Make My Day" moments, but all day long. Thanks to all! I celebrated my birthday with no other than all my Doha Bennigan's buddies who serenaded me with three rounds of birthday songs. Heck, it was more like a concert. Top it all off with brownie and ice cream and it's called a perfect day. As one of my birthday cards suggested, I may be getting older, but that doesn't mean I'm maturing! Amen to that.

  2. Haha...me, too! Even though I remember the line well, I don't remember the movie. Clint is classic.

  3. My husband has been wanting to try out Bennigan's here..Is it good? And is just as overpriced as the other American chains (i.e. Chilis, Applebees, etc.)?

  4. We go there a minimum of twice a week, so I'll let you make the call on if we like it or not :)

It is a little cheaper than Chili's and Applebees, but more than that it just feels a bit more personal. We love the buffalo chicken sandwich and every now and then we opt for the ultimate nachos (if we go two nights in a row!)

Make sure you say "hi" if you see us there!
