Our five year adventure in Doha, Qatar ended June 1, 2012, but the memories will always remain. It's back to Texas where I have decided...Qatar isn't cornering the market on "quirky", as I once believed. Thanks for opening my eyes to the world, Doha!

Sew, Should I?

Do I see a Bernina sewing machine in my future. Ok, you can stop laughing now. We all know I'm not of the domestic sorts, but I'm not completely inept. Yesterday I visited the unofficial Monday quilting guild down the street, aka Peggy's house. They were pegging away (unintended pun!) at quilting, all in various stages of the game. It sort of looked like fun...I mean they have food at these outings. The main problem I foresee for myself venturing into this world is my slow decision making skills (thanks, mom) and from what I see the options and patterns are limitless. You know, sort of like walking up to the dessert buffet and you can pick out only ONE dessert. Oh, the trials and tribulations of decision making at its toughest. So, I'll have to think about this one before jumping in. OMG, there I go thinking, again.

  1. I see we're soul sisters in the "decision making" process. I think you should GO FOR IT! Just think when you have grandkids one day, you can make them all a quilt!
