Our five year adventure in Doha, Qatar ended June 1, 2012, but the memories will always remain. It's back to Texas where I have decided...Qatar isn't cornering the market on "quirky", as I once believed. Thanks for opening my eyes to the world, Doha!

What Do You Mean, No Dessert?

Pat ME on the back...I hit the pavement at 7:10a.m. for my morning walk! And you know what? It was cool! Wonders never cease :)

Poor David. I'm on a health kick, again, and you know what that means. Yes, he has to come along for the ride. You know me, the control freak. So, it's grilled fish one night and grilled fish the next. Toss a shrimp or chef salad in every now and then and we're good to go. We have to go hard core during the week because the buffalo chicken tacos and fries aren't listed on the weekend healthy menu. That's a habit we haven't kicked, yet. We're also trying to eliminate the weekend desserts, as well. I'll have to inform David of that newsflash and see how that goes over. Here's the deal. He's been working out for a while now and I have to say he's looking pretty good for a guy that's hitting that "old" mark next month. Yes, he too, will join the 5-Oh crowd. All his hard work is paying off, but he needs to drop ten pounds or so to reveal his efforts. Psychological warfare is in order to complete this mission. (He isn't known for reading my blog and I sure hope he doesn't start now!) He might not appreciate the "good intentions" that I have in store for him, but he will when the payoff hits. Wish me luck!

The ingredients for the yummy salad above, you ask?

Regular salad fixin's, plus the secret ingredient of fresh pineapple, grapes, and raisins. Top off with a little olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Muah!
