Our five year adventure in Doha, Qatar ended June 1, 2012, but the memories will always remain. It's back to Texas where I have decided...Qatar isn't cornering the market on "quirky", as I once believed. Thanks for opening my eyes to the world, Doha!

When East Meets West

This Texas gal is starting to feel just a little more at home in Doha each passing day. It's turning into when the Middle East meets the Wild West. Pickup trucks are catching on around town, and I'm not talkin' sissy ones. I'm talking Silverados and the likes. The drivers aren't wearing cowboy hats, but they do have their headgear of choice on. Now, when they trade their sandals in for boots and start doing the Boot Scootin' Boogie, we'll really be in business. Bottom line: When I start seeing bluebonnet fields in bloom, I'll know I'll have died and gone to Texas. Yeehaw!
