Our five year adventure in Doha, Qatar ended June 1, 2012, but the memories will always remain. It's back to Texas where I have decided...Qatar isn't cornering the market on "quirky", as I once believed. Thanks for opening my eyes to the world, Doha!

Welcoming Your Words
Keep Them Coming!

Have truck, but don't want to travel today. It's windy, dusty and just generally yucky out. You know what that means...you have to live with whatever my warped mind conjures up today. Let's see. I think I'll pick on my blog roll on the left. We'll go from bottom up, since that is what indicates how long it's been since they've let their fingers do the walking on the keyboard.

Window to My World
...aka Karen who was my photography partner in crime before bailing out on me and moving back to the great state of Texas. (This is where you say..."YeeeeeeHa!") I'll forgive her posting absence since she's caught up in the abyss of ripping out counter tops, wall paper, carpet and what not to update her castle. She will, however, take time out to give me some Paris tips since she lived there for a bit before her Doha stint. Right, Kar?

It's A Big World
...aka Kim, who lives a few villas down. Two weeks and not a word. Kim, as the saying goes, has too many doughnuts on her plate. She volunteers here, there, and everywhere. I equate Kim with June Cleaver. Dressed to a T while serving her teenage son and husband a hot home cooked meal, NIGHTLY. She's setting such a bad precedent for the rest of us expat wives. Relax, Kim! Call BK for a whopper delivery. Tel: 486-3272

The Garcias in the Desert
...My bubbly, energetic friend, Lucy. I can't even guess what Lucy's excuse is for two weeks and counting without hearing a peep from her. She does have two precious children that keep her somewhat busy. I think what's happening here is that since the arrival of her new nanny "Amazing Grace", she's hitting the roads and enjoying a long lost freedom. What say you, Lucy?

Patrizi's Earth...aka Professional Photographer, Sherry. This is the one person that can ramble on and beyond more than me. Just make sure you breathe while reading so you can keep up with her self diagnosed, adult attention deficit disorder. Is that contagious? Sherry also has another "artsy fartsy" blog with a friend at 2~Chicks~2 Clicks~2 Countries showcasing a little photography creativity. Check it out!

Gina and Michael...Gina is my blog mentor, the one who got me started with this never ending, can't skip a day, love hate relationship that I have with blogging. I forgive you, Gina. Anyway, Gina and Michael are good to go for the next eighteen years due to the birth of Kelsey. All you for a blog is a cat or a kid (and she has both!) and the adventures just create themselves.

  1. Thanks for the shout out Syb. The stainer is finishing the front door, the granite man is finishing the bookcases & the wallpaper is complete. Now it's time to clean up the dust. Where DOES it come from. Reminds me of Doha!
